As a certified EMDR and Somatic Therapist I specialize in trauma work, specifically attachment traumas. Trauma with our early primary caregivers can effect many areas of our life. This is often seen when working with individuals who are having a difficult time fostering healthy relationships, whether the difficulty is in a current relationship or in finding and keeping a partner. Unconsciously, there is a pattern that gets repeated in each relationship. By examining and understanding past relationships, even as early as the relationship with your parent/s, we can uncover the common unconscious behaviors that are preventing you from experiencing the love that you deserve. Often times these unconscious behaviors are individuals trauma responses, that were installed at an early age to help survive in a dysfunctional family. The use of EMDR and somatic techniques helps to integrate trauma and the trauma response on a visceral level, which helps individuals to approach their relationships and life with less fear and anxiety.
