The Innovation Observatory is a partnership between Newcastle University, Newcastle Academic Health Partners, the National Innovation Centre for Data and the National Innovation Centre for Ageing.

I entered the world of knowledge transfer and translational health research motivated by a vision that allows everyone access to healthcare excellence and for the realisation of the economic benefits of bringing cutting edge technology and processes into use, thus benefitting society. These key aims have driven my career choices. I continue to utilise my research background, post-doctoral analytical skill and business development experience to deliver in roles that require the operational delivery of a strategic vision that I aim to shape and champion. My extensive experience includes commercial liasion, NIHR topic network management, change management, strategy development and implementation, business development, SME start up support, team management including matrix management, project delivery and budget management, including leveraging allocated budget against other funding sources.
