BRAINSTEM STROKE SURVIVOR - I had my stroke on June 24th, 2010. My Job Description at the time was CERTIFIED HEALTHCARE ACCESS MANAGER I.e. a CHAM. Though my expertise would go from frontline hospital manager and subject matter expert to ironically, the \"patient\" seeking access to care. I believe I am able to offer a unique and one of a kind perspective when it comes to our current “healthcare process,” and it’s areas of “opportunity” when communicating discharge instructions to the caretakers of stroke patients BEFORE being “DHR’d.” There are some things you all need to know! 🥴.
