ABOUT TERESA MACGREGOR LOVETT
Dr. Teresa MacGregor Lovett is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Engagement and Enrollment at Jacksonville University.Dr. MacGregor Lovett received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Jacksonville University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Laura Lee Wold Award for Clinical Excellence. She obtained her master’s degree and PhD from the University of Florida where her doctoral research focused on premature neonates and neurosurgical conditions. She has received several grants for her work, presented nationally, and published multiple times in the Journal of Neurosurgery, Pediatric Neurosurgery, and Child Nervous System. She continued a limited clinical practice in the field of pediatric neurosurgery until January 2021. In Fall 2009, Dr. MacGregor returned to Jacksonville University as nursing faculty, and served as MSN Program Director from 20••••17. During this time, she established and directed the first Pediatric Refugee Health Clinic in Jacksonville where JU nursing faculty and students provided healthcare services. She was then appointed Graduate Director of the Nathan M. Bisk Center for Professional Studies in 2016 and Executive Director of the center in 2018. In this role, she maintained responsibility for the operations of distance learning programs across the University including general education, health sciences, and business. She has overseen the development of multiple graduate nursing program tracks, post-graduate nursing certificates, as well as the establishment of the sport management and health quality and safety online programs, 3 online graduate business programs, and 2 online education certificate programs. In November 2019, she was appointed as Executive Director of Graduate and Professional Studies to lead recruitment and enrollment efforts for all graduate and professional programs. One year later in November 2020, she was appointed as Vice President of Enrollment Management and now serves as Senior Vice President of Strategic Engagement and Enrollment leading a team of over 50 employees in University Events and Campus Experience, Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Enrollment Operations, Enrollment Marketing and Communications, Student Accounts, and Financial Assistance. She works closely with the senior leadership reporting to the President, serving on the Cabinet, to develop, implement, and evaluate strategic enrollment and student success initiatives.
