In the late 1980’s my parents sought help from The Seamen’s Society for Children and Families when adopting my sister. Today, I proudly join the organization as the Chief Development Officer - quite a full circle moment! Without their support, my family would never have been complete. Now, I work with my team to provide funding to fuel the organization’s mission and support others as they complete their families. As the Chief Development Officer, I lead a team of committed and talented development coordinators to ensure we raise funds through diverse areas of giving to support our organization\'s various programs. Areas of fundraising including- Corporate and Foundation Grants- Individual Giving, Monthly Recurring Giving, and Annual Campaigns- Planned Gifts and Bequests- Major Gifts- Government Funding- Online Giving (Social Media and Website)- Annual Events (Galas, Raffles, and Golf Outings)- Endowment Gifts- Capital and Comprehensive CampaignsAdditionally, I oversee marketing campaigns and various channels of external communication to raise awareness including- Social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter)- Draft press releases and submit to various news sources- Email Communication- Annual reports and newsletters - Networking events, presentations, and conferences- Maintain accurate and active web presence with SEOI serve as a representative for Seamen’s Society within the Staten Island and Brooklyn communities to raise awareness of the programs that we provide to support those in need of additional services.
