ABOUT TERESA CHIQUITA

I am an experienced Legal Counsel with over seven years of dynamic experience spanning both law firms and in-house environments, with broad experience in technology, media and telecommunication, corporate finance and general corporate and commercial practice. Currently, I serve as Senior Legal Counsel at Lemonilo, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) start-up dedicated to promoting accessible and healthier lifestyles for Indonesians. I manage a team that oversees all legal aspects of our retail business, which used to be tech-based. My role involves drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, advising on data protection and technology compliance, supporting major funding rounds and corporate actions and facilitating the establishment of new manufacturing and export businesses. Proud to have been part of teams recognized as Hukumonline\'s Indonesia\'s Most Innovative In-House Counsel Team and In-House Counsel Team of The Year in 2022. My role builds over my prior experience at Makarim & Taira S, an esteemed law firm in Indonesia, where I advised and assisted both local and foreign corporate clients on matters including business establishments, franchise and IP registrations, and employment-related matters. My work in the banking and finance practice area involved advising foreign clients on Indonesian banking regulations and assisting on major project finance and other corporate finance transaction. I am passionate about providing practical and timely legal advice that aligns with business objectives.
