As a Provider Access Lead at Bluebird Bio, I am one of three leads on the field reimbursement and access strategy team for the company\'s innovative gene therapy portfolio in the US. I have over 20 years of experience in market access, field reimbursement, institutional readiness, patient services, and product launches for pediatric and adult rare and ultra-rare diseases (Neurology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Infectious diseases and Hematology). I have successfully launched multiple high-dollar and complex reimbursement products in the US and Europe, including Zolgensma, Daybue, Gattex, Lyfgenia, Zynteglo and Skytrofa. I am a subject matter expert in cell & gene therapies, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, and national and downstream payors as well as all Medicaids and Medicare. I am passionate about improving patient access and outcomes for life-changing therapies, and I collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver value and excellence.

   As Field Access Lead for Pfizer North America, I serve as the main point of contact for patient access and reimbursement, reporting directly to the Field Access Director. I partner with healthcare provider (HCP) offices to resolve access and reimbursement challenges, enabling appropriate and timely patient access to Pfizer therapies.Key Responsibilities:• Provide technical expertise and support to HCP offices on reimbursement, coverage, and payer policy questions• Achieved prior authorization approval rates consistently above the national average• Educate HCPs and staff on payer landscape, prior authorization, formulary updates, and patient support resources• Coordinate therapy reauthorizations and facilitate continuation of care• Spearheaded projects to build stronger relationships and improve access with Mayo Clinic and Banner Health Systems nationwide• Deliver Pfizer-approved materials on patient assistance, billing, coding, and financial support programs• Address coding and claims-related issues by communicating with payers and interpreting policies• Serve as a subject matter expert on coverage and reimbursement trends in the assigned region• Offer insights to internal leadership on local market access issues and opportunities• Maintain strict compliance with company guidelines and document all activities appropriately• Build strong relationships through follow-up, trust, and a deep understanding of the access journey
