Develops innovative curricula and programs in the Community and Economic Development program area to be delivered statewide to address local community and economic development needs that align with the broader ACES, state, and national interdisciplinary initiatives.• Develops educational materials and curricula for entrepreneurs and small business enterprises in underserved areas and works with local community and business organizations to advance these efforts.• Contributes to and supports the strategic planning process for program implementation and evaluation.• Promotes effective working and team relationships and practices Extension scholarship by conducting needs assessments, identifying priorities and partners, and measuring program impact.• Provides accountability for reporting program results with pre-determined measurement standards for the program team.• Networks and partners with community organizations, local government representatives, Alabama A&M Extension State Office, Auburn Extension, county-based staff, and related groups.• Remains current on the emerging issues of Community and Economic Development and transforms issues into curricula.• Communicates to all stakeholders the impact of the program priorities and education. Develops and provides weekly, quarterly, and annual reports; provides success stories with evaluations to document program impacts.• Pursues and secures internal and external funding and uses research-based information and state-of-the-art resources to prepare and deliver presentations and educational materials and to increase Community & Economic Development program quality and impact.• Provides direct supervision, performance management, and other HR-related activities for assigned employees, including Program Coordinator and Urban Extension Agents.
