Working as a contractor for the CDC on the National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System. NNCSS is a new, congressionally mandated program \"that uses state-of-the-art data sources, tools, and analytic methods to track the epidemiology of neurological conditions.\" To start, we are estimating the prevalence of Parkinson\'s disease and multiple sclerosis. Systematic reviews informed the selection of the approach-claims data-and case definitions. Prevalence estimates are generated from CMS and private claims data. Efforts are underway to publish results.
