About Tekhia Jones

I\'m a live events and music industry professional based in Seattle, WA with a background in live event coordination, production management, and artist relations. I earned my B.A. in Communication Studies with minors in Leadership and Anthropology from Western Washington University, where I developed a passion for storytelling and community-building through music and art.I\'ve worked with organizations like The Vera Project, The Crocodile, Bumbershoot, Flame Productions, and Friends of Waterfront Park—supporting artist contracting, event logistics, and live show production across major festivals and concerts.Outside of production, I\'m the Founder and Creative Director of Real Sh!t Collective, a platform that uplifts BIPOC artists and creatives through events and media. Whether I\'m managing logistics or spearheading creative projects, I\'m driven by a commitment to community, collaboration, and inclusion.My short-term career goal is to continue growing and learning within the live events industry—bridging creativity and production to create meaningful experiences for show attendees. My long-term career goal is to pay it forward. I want to take the things I learn throughout my career to give back to my community and continue to curate diverse events/spaces that make an impact.
