ABOUT TEJASWINI VONDIVILLU
Impact maximisation in a resource-constrained world\" is the foundation through which I view my role in the development sapce. Currently, I predominantly spearhead M&E efforts at Veddis Foundation, bringing curiosity as the starting point to answer \'what constitutes impact\' and \'how to get there\'My early career experience evaluating complex programs, while increasingly managing philanthropic investments, has led me to question the utility of existing M&E frameworks considered the \'gold standard\' for moving funders\' needles. Does relying on these methodologies leave behind the very people that we intend to reach? What are alternative methods to move capital while producing reasonable on-ground pulse checks?A course in Symbolic Logic rather unexpectedly shaped my analytical DNA - blending mathematical reasoning with philosophical structure. That way of thinking continues to inform how I approach impact: rigorously, reflectively, and often through unconventional routes. My interest in policy for social change was seeded in student government body roles in my initial college years. Being selected for the Millennium Fellowship (Class of 2021) deepened my exposure to policy design and strategy, while an internship at J-PAL gave me a grounding in translating research into actionable insights for implementation. Preparing for this unique intersection, my academic and professional journey has included- Independent research in Symbolic Logic and Political Economy- Founding and editing academic journals and the PPE Society during undergrad- Teaching and mentoring as a TA and Peer TutorOutside of work, you’ll find me reading existential philosophy, photographing landscapes, playing tennis, and ruminating over coffee.
