About Tejas Ukarde
As a Postdoctoral Fellow at Shell Technology Centre Bengaluru, I work on various sustainability and circularity projects, applying my expertise in waste valorization, biomass conversion, and catalysis. I am passionate about developing innovative solutions that can reduce environmental impact and enhance resource efficiency in the chemical industry. I hold a PhD in Chemistry from the Institute Of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, where I conducted research on converting biomass and plastic waste into value-added products, treating industrial effluents and sewage water, and developing and validating analytical methods for chemical compound detection. I have hands-on experience in handling high-pressure and high-temperature batch reactors, semicontinuous reactors, adsorption columns, membrane separation assemblies, and vacuum distillation assemblies. I also have strong skills in using various spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments, such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, FTIR, UV-Visible, etc. I am a team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, problem-solving ability, and result-oriented attitude.
