ABOUT TEJAS SINGRI KRISHNAMURTHY

Born in Bangalore, India often called the Silicon Valley of India, I grew up inspired by the city’s dynamic startup culture and technological ecosystem. Alongside academics, I pursued martial arts and percussion, earning a black belt in Taekwondo and winning multiple state and national medals over a 14-year journey that taught me discipline, resilience, and focus. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bangalore. During my studies, I worked on industry projects with ABB (productivity and process improvement using Lean techniques), BEML (material flow analysis to enhance productivity), and BFW (Six Sigma implementation), gaining hands-on experience in process optimization and manufacturing systems. My professional journey began as a Business Strategy Associate at a mobility startup, where for 3 years I contributed to solving last-mile commute challenges in Bangalore and other metropolitan cities. My role included market and competitor analysis, pricing strategy, and business planning, helping shape strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment. I later pursued a Master’s in Transport Systems Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome, one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious universities. During this time, I collaborated with CTLup (Centro di Ricerca per il Trasporto e la Logistica) for over a year, contributing to national and European projects with a strong focus on road safety, mobility, and logistics research. Beyond academics and professional work, I am also a certified drone pilot, reflecting my passion for embracing emerging technologies and applying them to problem-solving in transport, logistics, and beyond.
