Researching AI, finance, and strategy through projects that apply NLP, machine learning, and data engineering to real world datasets. At SDSU, I analyze corporate earnings calls with Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) to identify how firms disclose and adopt AI in their strategies, and developed a BERT based classifier that categorizes AI related disclosures into adoption, planning, and innovation. I am also collaborating with faculty at SDSU and the University of Stirling (UK) on a long term study of golfer popularity trends, where I designed normalization pipelines using Google Trends and Glimpse to create stable time series across two decades of data. These projects highlight the use of AI to generate actionable insights for business, finance, and sports analytics.
