About Teja Chintala
Just a small-town girl from Alabama with a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a concentration in neuroscience. My academic journey included collaborative work with healthcare professionals across various specialties, including thoracic surgery, hospice care, and cardiac technology at UAB. During these experiences, I gained hands-on familiarity with a range of cutting-edge medical devices, including the Da Vinci surgical system, Medtronic deep-brain stimulators, and various ventricular assist devices (LVAD/VAD). Overall, I cultivated a deep understanding of patient care and a keen interest in the advancement of medical technology. During my time at UAB, I recognized the integral role technology played in advancing healthcare and ensuring seamless patient care. I proactively taught myself Python through my bioinformatics research at HudsonAlpha then transitioned into a role as a backend Java developer at General Motors post-graduation. At General Motors, I successfully delivered sophisticated web applications within Agile and SAFe frameworks, demonstrating my ability to navigate complex technological landscapes and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.This unique combination of academic excellence, healthcare exposure, and software development proficiency positions me as an ideal candidate for roles in the medical devices industry.
