Currently focus: Leading engineering teams to safely reuse quality semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Decommissioning from older process nodes (cleaning, de-installing, packaging for storage, or next upgrade and reuse). Creating reusable cleanroom space to install cutting-edge, angstrom-era manufacturing equipment. This is most often done directly adjacent to production equipment currently building the most current node semiconductor chips. Due to the chemical and many energy hazards involved, excellence is required in safety. Both for the people and the integrated equipment and facilities. Recent prior roles: Managing and leading engineering teams to install and qualify leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With a primary focus on selective epitaxy and ion implant equipment and processes. Ramping and improving both capacity and capability. Done by developing engineering teams with continuous improvement and excursion root-cause elimination. Older roles include extensive work on semiconductor equipment and processing for; dielectrics, metal sputter, process integration across manufacturing layers, measurement and analytical equipment addressing those processes. Further history also includes full factory integration covering all equipment and processes including etching (wet and dry), lithography, metrology, thermal processes (batch furnace and rapid thermal), and far backend semiconductor processing.
