I am a strong believer that most business problems can be solved with technology. I am excited about identifying cutting edge technologies that address major pain points to enable growth and profit. Technology is the greatest equalizer and both large enterprises and startups must continue to innovate not to get disrupted. The winning process involves several crucial steps. Customer needs and business objectives must always be the starting point. With a clear understanding of customer requirements, product requirements can be defined and specified. Finally, technology will be built or acquired to generate an overwhelming competitive advantage to help the product win in the market. I love working with entrepreneurs with great product ideas who are razor focused on building a business based on their ideas. The core attributes of these entrepreneurs - their understanding of the problem, clear articulation of the value proposition, and passion for the technology they are building - make me want to help them. As a technology leader, I’ve learned the importance of empathy in everything I do. I’ve found that servant leadership works the best. Leadership is about defining a clear role, showing how much impact the role has in achieving the vision, providing necessary tools and then getting out of the way to let your great people achieve what they need to do.
