About Ted Griswold
I founded the firm\'s Native American Law practice group leader and am proud to work with a great team of attorneys serving Indian Country. I am also a member of the firm’s Energy and Environment group. I represent Native American governments in Tribal land issues including land and natural resource planning, Tribal property clean-up, federal permitting, water supply development and protection and water quality, Native American governance, intergovernmental agreements, alternative energy, natural and cultural resource protection and disputes, wetlands, habitat, environmental and land use matters. My governance matters include self-determination compacts and contracts (ISDEAA), fee to trust applications, land and natural resource planning, board governance training, tribal code and ordinance development, general welfare programs, leasing, tribal property clean up, federal permitting, water supply development and protection, water quality, stormwater plans, tribal utilities and infrastructure, intergovernmental agreements, and tribal cultural resource protections and policies. I assist Tribal, public agency and private clients in negotiating and developing renewable energy agreements and design projects.
