I have 35+ years experience in both consulting engineering and construction. As a consultant, I have experience in restoring existing buildings (roofing, cladding, parking garages, balconies, waterproofing, structure, etc). I also have extensive expertise in developing sensible capital plans for commercial owners and depreciation reports for Stratas. These plans and reports help them make sure that adequate funds will be available to cover required major repair and replacement for their facilities. Proactive planning allows appropriate funding to be put in place. Appropriate funding means that repairs can be made when they should be made rather than being deferred, which means that the condition of the facility does not need to degrade over time. This helps maintain the value of the building/facility, but more importantly allows the building to continue to contribute positively to the community.
