ABOUT TED PROSISE

Ted Prosise, Ph.D, focuses on effective advocacy for all stages of litigation. He is well regarded for his careful analysis of case issues leading to the development of creative strategies and practical recommendations that have immediate tactical, as well as strategic, applications. Dr. Prosise’s experience is broad, encompassing many types of civil litigation ranging from employment to complex commercial and securities. As a professor at the University of Washington, he specialized in teaching advocacy, argument theory, and persuasion. Prosise has moved those vital skills from the classroom to the courtroom for his clients’ benefit. A partner with Tsongas, Prosise joined the firm in 2001. He has built a substantial and loyal client base due to his sophisticated assessments and his commitment to obtaining the best results for his clients – whether it be in settlement, summary judgment, or an eventual verdict. Prosise brings his extensive background in communication research, as well as over a decade of practical experience with juror behavior, to the wide range of services that Tsongas offers, particularly in witness preparation, visual advocacy, and the analysis of mock trial and focus group results. Prosise received his doctorate from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. He served on the faculty of Western Washington University, California State University at Long Beach, and as the Director of Debate at San Diego State University. His highly rated seminars and CLEs are sought after both regionally and nationally.Prosise also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the King County Bar Foundation.
