About Ted Michel
Hello there!I am Ted, a structural engineer intern that thrives on working in groups and/or independently to solve problems or challenges that we may face in everyday life. I am passionate about structural analysis, Building designs and inspections, and new innovative techniques to optimize structural performance, decrease costs and improve durability. In my studies, I have had the opportunity of working with the following software programs and design codes: AutoCAD, Revit, Mathcad, Visual Analysis, Enercalc, Microsoft Office, ACI 318-19, ASCE 7-16, Steel Construction Manuel, and the Florida Building Code. I recently passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering-Structures at the University of South Florida. Throughout my academic career, I have been involved in leadership positions where I developed many skills such as problem-solving, team working, communication, and budgeting. Outside of work, I enjoy reading self-development books and listen to educational podcasts. My favorite books are “the Millionaire morning” by Lewis Howes and “the Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.
