Owned by the families and employees of the company, we are dedicated to remaining independent in perpetuity and thereby free from the conflicts of interest prevalent in corporate and private equity owned firms.    Ted is the founding partner of the firm. He is responsible for client relations and overall leadership of the firm. He directs investment strategy and policy and serves as Chairman of the Manchester Capital Investment Committee. Ted takes great pride working for his clients and the firm has enjoyed a 98% retention rate as a result of superior investment performance and its broad range of family office services. He has had numerous industry awards, including Bloomberg and Worth. He was inducted into the Barron\'s Hall of Fame, having been consistently rate in the top 10 of America\'s investment advisories for the last decade. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and hed has served as a Trustee of the Village of Manchester, was a member of the Vermont Business Roundtable, past Chairman of the Board of the Vermont Natural Resources Council, and is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations. Ted is a member of the Explorers\' Club, and served on the Advisory Board of Charles Schwab. He currently serves on the Board of the Music Academy of the West. Ted graduated from Williams College, and completed coursework at Harvard Business School and the New York Institute of Finance. Ted founded Manchester Capital as a family office dedicated to caring for the assets of his own related families. Over the years, the firm assisted other wealthy families and was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1993. Today the firm serves over 100 familes across the country. The families range from single households to as many as 35 households representing six generations. Ted and his wife, Susan, live in California, where they have a home in Montecito, He is the proud father of two sons, Read Cronin and Wright Cronin, and three grandchildren. Besides his passion for his clients and their investments, Ted is an active bicyclist and a love of competitive motor sports, from racing motorcycles to race cars.
