As the first leader of Microsoft’s University PhD & Specialized team in University (Early in Profession) I have implemented and was behind crafting a strategy ground up, and then operationalizing it to scale to ensure we are attracting and engaging top-tier emerging PhD talent across the globe. Leadership: I lead a diverse team of recruiters, promoting a culture of continuous learning, innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity. Responsible for influencing for impact across the company across a myriad of stakeholders from individual contributors to executive level across the globe. Recruiting Strategies: I develop innovative strategies to attract top academic talent, particularly PhD candidates, globally.Data Analysis: I leverage data to inform our full cycle (source, engage, hire) inclusive recruiting strategies from source to close. Our current focus is on hiring early in profession PhD & specialized (niche) talent from around the world to support (AI) Artificial Intelligence & Research and other key product groups focused on Data & Applied Science & Research Engineering in the following: AI specialized domains including - Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Systems, Computer Vision (CV), and Reinforcement Learning. In addition to Ph.D. recruitment, our team is responsible for sourcing niche University undergrad talent in Design (UX), Data Science, Hardware Design, Software Engineering, Cleared (Top Security Clearance), and Program & Product Management.At Microsoft, we inspire students worldwide to realize their potential by applying their education with our product teams & Research Labs.
