In addition, a significant amount of my practice is devoted to assisting startups with formation and IP-related issues, helping clients with trademark-related matters (including registration and maintenance), and advising on advertising compliance, promotions (e.g, sweepstakes, contests, etc.) and general consumer protection matters. I also often spearhead the proper treatment and resolution of IP, privacy and data security aspects of M&A deals.I present regularly on topics such as open source software, cloud computing, advertising and promotions, branding, social media, privacy and data security, and IP issues generally.
