Hi! My name is Tea (one syllable, like the drink), and I love stories! My mom still has the first comic I drew, as an absolutely tiny child. It was called \"The Pencil and the Person,\" and it was about an anthropomorphic pencil and a human person who lived next door to each other in identical houses with identical yards, and their furious rivalry. Decades later, I\'ve been editing comics for 17 years. Whether it\'s humor, fantasy, science fiction, action-adventure, or romance, I\'ve worked to make stories better across a wide variety of genres. I\'m an expert editor who can do everything from developing a story to tweaking a punchline to make it hit that much harder. I know the ins and outs of comics like no one else, and have launched major projects to critical and fan accolades. Here are some highlights: • I launched the first Flash Gordon comic strip in 20 years (as seen in The Washington Post)• I rebooted the Popeye comic strip (as seen in The Washington Post)• I rebooted the classic nature comic strip, Mark Trail (as seen in The New York Times)• I ran the Popeye’s Cartoon Club yearlong anthology project (as seen in Business Insider)I\'m also a jack of all trades who can get my hands dirty in a broad variety of roles. • I\'m a dynamic project manager who can juggle dozens of freelancers and just as many deadlines to produce the best work possible on tight turnarounds. • I\'m a rockstar in brainstorming sessions and bring great ideas to the table.• I\'m a talented writer with a great ear for brand voices and over a decade\'s worth of experience writing everything from fiction to marketing copy. • I\'m a hands-on front-end web developer who has built websites for some of the most respected cartoonists in the field, like Raina Telgemeier and Terri Libenson. • I\'m a thoughtful and compassionate cultural competency guide, who can help make stories, spaces, and events feel more authentic and welcoming to all. • I\'m a friendly community manager with a track record for building vibrant communities that people want to be a part of.• I\'m an enthusiastic collaborator who loves working with and cheering on a team, whether in a leadership role or individual contributor role. • I\'m a patient teacher who loves to help others learn about my areas of expertise.
