   Office 365\'s Skype for Business Online is the largest Skype for Business (previously known as Lync) topology in the world, serving millions of users daily. With the runaway success that is Office 365, back end capacity is constantly growing. My job is to not just deploy the service at scale, but automate the various areas of deployment to improve velocity, consistency, and reliability. To this end, I have developed credential management solutions, automated change management processes, and orchestrated multi-site Active Directory forest deployments, all with PowerShell, all with captured knowledge to allow junior engineers to utilize the solutions.PowerShell is an excellent glue language, occupying much of the same place in Windows Server administration as Perl and Python does in Unix fleet management. Each day, I strive to learn something new with PowerShell, to share it with my team, and to use it in a way that makes a tangible and lasting difference.
