ABOUT THERESA GIO
As a Manager of Organizational Development at AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), I lead the culture and change initiatives within the organization, including the creation of a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program and the internship program. I have over 7 years of experience in human resources (HR), with a focus on learning and development (L&D), employee engagement, and communications. I am passionate about empowering people and organizations to achieve their full potential, and I use my skills and credentials in HR, office administration, and women\'s empowerment to design and implement effective strategies and solutions. At AHF, I developed the L&D curriculum to drive skill development across all business lines, implemented employee engagement strategies such as a new employee intranet, and created an essential learning series for 300+ managers. I also run west coast events and manage partnerships and outreach for SPARK United, a non-profit organization that supports women entrepreneurs. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and I hold a BA in Political Science from UCLA and various certifications in HR from Coursera and LinkedIn.
