Throughout my career as an Organisational Psychologist specialising in HR, Talent Acquisition and Recruitment, I have experienced many failings that have become norms in the Staffing & Recruitment industry.Still today, when we have tech and information at our fingertips, many recruitment processes continue to rely on gut feelings and unverified assessment tools to make decisions; whilst having little to no processes in place to reduce the biases we as humans all suffer from. This is unacceptable considering the scientific information, technology and knowhow that is readily available for companies to use, to develop objective and non-discriminatory ways to recruit and manage their staff.My goal is simple. To encourage businesses to proactively work to reduce bias and improve business processes.
