About Timothy Becker

People often emphasize the importance of being well-rounded—both professionally and personally—as a key to long-term success. I’ve embraced that mindset throughout my career, applying it not only in my personal life but also across multiple roles in the agile software development ecosystem.In agile environments, there are three core areas of contribution: product, development, and quality assurance. I’ve had the opportunity to work across all three. I began my career with a degree in Computer Science and joined SEI as a software engineer (ask me about this!). I soon transitioned into a quality assurance (QA) role, driven by a long-term goal of moving into product management. In QA, I gained firsthand experience validating financial software in the private banking industry and ensuring client expectations were consistently met—an invaluable foundation for understanding user needs and system behavior.After a year in QA, I moved into the product space and haven’t looked back. I now serve as a Product Owner, a role I stepped into faster than expected thanks to my technical background, strong communication skills, and diverse experience. Today, I lead initiatives that span client-specific projects and strategic platform enhancements, acting as the spokesperson for an application that supports SEI’s Investor Services division.

   Product Owner for Insight, a Know Your Customer (KYC) data management application supporting investor creation and storing investor-level data, including fund, transaction, and wire instruction details- Serve as the primary liaison with the U.S. Investor Services group, the European Transfer Agency based in Dublin, Ireland, and the Luxembourg Operations team, supporting a global user base of 300+ employees to align priorities and drive platform enhancements- Support 305+ clients and manage data for over investors, delivering scalable solutions for complex operational and compliance needs- Manage a team of two business analysts and collaborate with product directors to define product strategy, drive feature delivery, and oversee resolution of production issues- Spearhead critical integrations with key IMS systems such as FATCA/CRS, AML, Treasury Cash Management, and Investor Outreach, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
