Change Please is an award-winning social enterprise that aims to end homelessness through selling great-tasting coffee.We use 100% of our profits and donations to train people experiencing homelessness to become baristas, supporting them with everything they need to turn their lives around.My responsibilities included:Regional Cafe Manager: Opened and managed the first Change Please Cafe and Training center in the Denver Metro Area. Managed daily cafe operations, including inventory control, visual merchandising, sales analysis, and compliance with health and safety regulations, while leading new store openings and menu development to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.Regional Program Manager: Built and managed partnerships with referral agencies to recruit and support trainees, overseeing their training journey, addressing barriers to success, coordinating employment workshops, and securing job placements, while also driving opportunities to expand the organization’s commercial presence. Supported an average of 72 trainees a year.Regional Training Manager: Designed and led comprehensive coffee training programs for new hires and trainees, covering barista skills, product knowledge, and customer service, while providing ongoing coaching, performance evaluation, and support. Ran 1 cohort monthly, with six trainees per cohort.
