ABOUT TAYLOR REGESTER

I am a third-year International Relations and Arabic student at Michigan State University in the James Madison College and College of Arts and Letters. I’m passionate about global affairs and connecting with people! Alongside my major, I’m pursuing a minor Business, which allows me to combine my love for language, international engagement, and problem-solving in everything I do.I currently serve as a Resident Assistant in Holden Hall at MSU and as a Junior Trade Commissioner for the Canadian Consulate General of Detroit. I look forward to spending my upcoming summer in Jordan to continue my proficiency in Arabic! My previous experience entails my work as a Legislative Intern in the U.S. House of Representatives and as a Capitol Confidential Intern with the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Each of these roles has helped me strengthen my skills in communication, journalism, event planning, and conflict management.I’m passionate about building meaningful relationships, mentoring others, and creating positive change within my community. With an intermediate proficiency in Arabic, I aim to apply my language skills and cultural understanding in a global context. My ultimate goal is to serve as a U.S. diplomat, using diplomacy and communication to foster connections and make a positive impact in the world!
