About Taylor Johnson
I am a junior Finance major at Miami University Farmer School of Business that has secured an internship with Jefferies as an investment banking summer analyst intern for summer 2023. I am a motivated, independent, and hard-working student continuously seeking to better my education through taking business courses as well as partaking in case competitions to expand and hone in on my banking skills. Last semester I competed in the Cleveland Research Company Stock Pitch Competition along with 3 of my peers in the investment banking club here at school. We placed first in the competition where we researched and pitched a long position for Roblox Corporation (RBLX), an online game platform and game creation system. The competition was an excellent learning experience and I will carry forward the knowledge I gained from building out a valuation deck and learning how to value a stock firsthand. Since being at Miami I have been named to the President\'s List each semester and I am apart of the RedHawk Excellence Scholarship. A little bit about me, on campus I am involved in the Investment Banking Club where I was admitted as 1 of 12 out of over 200 applicants. In IBC, I am learning to develop the fundamentals of financial modeling as well as reviewing recent M&A transactions and staying up to date on the stock market and current trends. I am also a part of Women in Business where we learn to engage in and enhance our education as women pursuing careers in business. I am currently enrolled in a multitude of business courses such as finance, financial modeling, and statistics. This past summer I was an intern at Benjamin F. Edwards which is a full-service securities brokerage firm in Saint Louis, Missouri. I worked in the investment banking department where I learned how to build out valuation decks and created a facilities services sector update deck for the investment banking team.Ask me about the Saint Louis Cardinals or the Saint Louis Blues, I am a sports fanatic. I am looking forward to working in New York next summer at Jefferies and I am excited to become immersed in the world of investment banking.
