About Taylor Cowher

I am a graduate from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and Finance. I am a motivated and driven individual looking to improve myself, a business, and those around me. In seven years I have gained experience in human resources and finance throughout my professional roles. I started as an FMLA student assistant at The University of Toledo Human Resources Department, understanding the FMLA laws and working in a union environment. I then became an HR Intern at Maritz XC expanding my skills into recruiting, interviewing, training, and hiring. I currently work at Owens Corning, where I started as a Finance Intern utilizing my articulate skills and knowledge for three months and then transitioned into the HR Corporate intern. The Corporate Intern was similar to a generalist role understanding the recruiting process, utilizing bench marking information, updating and creating job descriptions. Recently, I graduated from the Owens Corning Human Resource Development Program which is a three year rotational program focusing on developing and strengthening my Human Resources skills through three different HR roles. I held two generalist roles in Concord, North Carolina at a non-union GlassMetal Facility and in Summit, Illinois at a union Roofing & Asphalt Plant. My final rotation was a specialist role at World Headquarters in Toledo, Ohio were I was the Early Career Specialist that led our recruiting and strategy efforts of early career internships and development programs. Since the program I was the Sr. HR Lead at the Minneapolis, Minnesota Roofing and Asphalt non-union plant. Now currently, the HR Leader at our Delmar, NY Insulation union facility supporting over 250 employees.
