About Taylor Brown
I’m a passionate technical and people leader driving positive innovation in bleeding-edge technology spaces at Microsoft. Empowering my teams to achieve their best is always my main priority, followed by the global customers we support, and the technology that forms the foundation of our products and services. I build exceptional teams, foster a positive culture, and role-model the value of transparency, accountability, respect, and empathy in everything I do.My tech career began when I dove head-first into the Microsoft ecosystem as a tester for Windows XP and fell completely in love with software development. The thrill of writing my first application—enabling one person to do the work of five—cemented my desire to continue in this world. Since then, I’ve gobbled up every article and resource that comes my way and learned directly from the brightest subject-matter experts in the global company. The most important lesson I’ve learned is the incalculable value of people-centric leadership. Bringing together diverse, multidisciplinary, and non-traditional talent to align on a common vision is the best part of my work. I strive to foster a dynamic, trust-based climate around the products we build and deliver, maximize each person’s strengths to make the greatest impact, and enable individual growth. My team has one of the highest Work Group Health indexes— a measurement of team health and happiness— in our division.
