About Taylor Bess

I graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science. I bring a diverse set of knowledge and skills to the table as I have served in a variety of policy-adjacent positions for the county party, on a congressional campaign, at a consulting firm, and in the office of a United States Senator. I have experience writing pieces over current events and policy issues such as right-to-work laws and major events that occurred in 2020. Research on current issues such as Critical Race Theory and other education policy issues made up the bulk of my job working for the Freedom Foundation of Texas, a 501(c)(3). Additionally, my time as an intern in a U.S. Senator\'s office enhanced my knowledge of the legislative process and constituent services. Finally, my experience as a senior political consultant at CAZ Consulting allowed me to hone my skills in budget creation, Excel, and campaign management. Each of these experiences have exposed me to important policy issues and given me the tools I need to be successful in a fast-paced, policy-centered environment.
