About Taylor Witherell
As a recent engineering graduate from Washington and Lee University, I have a strong background in electrical engineering and software development. I am passionate about creating innovative and scalable solutions for various domains and industries, using my analytical, logical, and creative thinking abilities.Currently, I work as a Back End Developer at Bankbarn, a company that provides digital banking solutions for small and medium businesses. In this role, I am responsible for developing, testing, and deploying RESTful APIs, using Django REST Framework and AWS cloud resources. This role also requires collaboration with the front end team and project management in order to align priorities and execute tasks efficiently. Previously, I worked as an Electrical/Software Engineer at Attochron LLC, where I developed prototype, embedded software equipped with an automation algorithm for maintaining alignment between the transmitter and the receiver within an optical system. The software features an ad-hoc web UI, which displays internal sensor readings and allows for manual manipulation of the system, such that link maintenance professionals can monitor the system in the field. While I wasn\'t coding, I participated in team pitches to investors at major telecomm conferences and to leaders of global technology giants.
