ABOUT TAYLOR SPARKLINGEYES

Before all, I am a mother of two brilliant, beautiful boys. I am a proud member of Goodfish Lake First Nation, bringing a unique perspective shaped by deep experience navigating Indigenous social ecosystems. My work centers on mental health, youth advocacy, and Indigenous Data Sovereignty - championing the right of our communities to reclaim and govern our data, narratives, and knowledge in our own words and voices.I believe that asserting control over our data is essential to reclaiming our stories and identity, and that this is foundational to healing and self-determination. Through my work, I aim to transform social systems to better serve our youth and future generations, ensuring they inherit a world built on respect, equity, and empowerment.Throughout my work, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of reclaiming our narratives and asserting control over our data.
