As a Teach for America corps member, I serve as a full-time teacher working to expand educational equity in an underserved community. My responsibilities include designing and delivering rigorous, grade-level instruction aligned with state standards, using formative and summative assessments to drive student growth, and fostering and a positive, inclusive classroom environment. I collaborate closely with mentor teachers, instructional coaches, and families to support student success and continuously improve my teaching practice.• Selected from a competitive applicant pool to join a national corps of leaders committed to educational equity in underserved communities• Committed to a two-year teaching placement in a Title I school, focused on improving academic outcomes and closing opportunity gaps• Completed intensive training on culturally responsive teaching, lesson planning, classroom management, and data-driven instruction
