ABOUT TAYLOR RUSH
My passion for wildlife conservation began in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where my family frequently visited the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, affectionately known to us as “The Wildlife.” These early walks with my parents, siblings, and grandfather sparked a deep connection to nature and a curiosity about the forces that threaten and protect our environment.I am proud to serve as a Government Relations Representative at Defenders of Wildlife, where I advocate for the protection of the National Wildlife Refuge System, National Parks, and public lands like the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska. What began as childhood wonder has evolved into a career, driven by a mission to protect wild places and animals so that they may continue to inspire, heal, and belong to everyone.
