ABOUT TAYLOR RADTKE
I am a pre-medical student at the University of Central Florida with the goal of attending medical school to pursue a career as a physician. I thrive on challenges that push me to grow and strengthen my skills, both academically and personally. One of my main passions is advancing mental health awareness and care. I have conducted research on mental health stigma, volunteered with cancer treatment centers supporting patients through difficult journeys, and helped lead Reconnect, a student initiative dedicated to promoting healthier, more intentional lifestyles. These experiences have shown me the importance of treating the whole person, mind and body, while reinforcing my belief that medicine is not just about curing, but also caring. I am motivated to pursue medicine because I want to be in a field where I can make lasting differences in people’: lives. Every experience I seek, from research to volunteering to leadership, is a step towards gaining the knowledge, empathy, and perspective I will need to serve as future physician. I am currently pursuing shadowing opportunities while continuing to work on my research projects and studies.
