About Taylor Mullen

This year, I am completing my final year of graduate school at the University of Virginia to get my M.Ed. in Counselor Education. I conducted my practicum placement at Johnson Elementary School in Charlottesville, VA, and am completing my internship placement at Nelson County High School in Lovingston, VA, as a school counselor. I graduated from the University of Vermont with a major in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Behavioral Change Health Studies. Additionally, as a previous member of the Division 1 Women\'s Lacrosse Program at Vermont, last year, I walked on to the University of Virginia\'s women\'s team for my 5th year. I am also a US Lacrosse certified Level 1 Instructor. I have experience in counseling, coaching, and retail. After receiving my Masters in Counselor Education, I hope to work as a School Counselor for a couple years, receive my LPC, and possibly become an outpatient children/family counselor or therapist.

   Work directly with the school counselors, school behavioral specialist, career advisor, principal, assistant principals, teachers, and caregivers to best support their students’ needs. Provide direct 1-on- 1 counseling to students in grades 9-12, as well as observe counseling sessions for mental health concerns and scheduling.
