Background:I was born and raised on Maui, Hawaii and attended high school in Coeur d‘Alêne Idaho. I then, moved to Seattle, WA where I studied Marketing and International Business at the University of Washington’s Foster school of Business with an emphasis in French studies. I started my career in women’s apparel for an e-commerce site where I told compelling stories through artfully curated collections. I left and moved to Portland to run the Merchandise department at an established brewery/distillery where I bought and renovated a 1938 home. I now rent that home to traveling nurses and live in NYC. Current events:My resiliency in challenging situations, consistent follow-through, innovative ideas, and customer centric mind set have enabled me to increase the ROI of the assortments I have managed thus far. I\'m a natural leader and results driven.The last 5 years I have been managing assortments ranging from apparel to fresh produce and shelf stable grocery items. I have 4 years experience with e-commerce apparel and 3 years of experience with grocery retailers. I have a keen understanding of cross functioning rolls and my marketing degree has wired me to always think with consumer-centric mindset.In my most recent role I managed over 600 products from packaged, shelf-stable products like nuts and dried fruit to low shelf life juices and dressings. I pushed my role’s boundaries helping create better systems to track data to assist in making informed decisions. I negotiated weekly and sometimes annually to help build relationships while maximizing profits. I maintain a strong relationship with all of my vendors and the sales team which helps get my assortment to our customers at a competitive price.I value sustainable and ethical practices within business while maintaining high quality standards in everything I do.
