About Taylor Luttrell-Deeds
My desire to be a therapist started after becoming a personal trainer and yoga instructor in Kansas City many years ago. Throughout that experience, I was able to help people alleviate physical pain, move more freely, and change their bodies in beautiful ways - but I quickly noticed a pattern arise in many of them. No matter how much weight they lost or how many goals they achieved, they couldn’t seem to appreciate their progress or the person they saw in the mirror. Why? Because the mental and emotional gunk trapped in their bodies had been neglected and ignored, which meant the transformation they so desperately desired probably wouldn’t look the way they had hoped. I knew that in order to help people (REALLY help people), I needed to be more for them. So I got my Masters in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2023, opened TLD Counseling, and am now working as an individual and couples therapist.
