ABOUT TAYLOR CULBERTSON
I specialize in supporting adolescents, families and couples navigating challenges of all kinds: anxiety, depression, unhealthy behaviors at school and at home, substance abuse and more. Many teens and parents today are feeling the impact of the mental health crisis affecting our adolescent generation, and my passion is helping my clients work through these challenges with support, tools and compassion.My career journey has allowed me to work in many different clinical settings that support teens and families. I have worked with foster youth in group homes, adult and child victims of crime in the clinic and shelter settings, kids on the autism spectrum and their families in their homes, and most recently teenagers with substance use and mental health struggles in the crisis residential setting. My clinical practice integrates wisdom from these diverse settings, as well as over 12 years of clinical experience. My goal is to empower her clients to understand the root cause of issues driving their mental health experience, create healthier boundaries, improve coping skills, live a life in line with their values, and improve effective communication in relationships. I was born and raised in Minnesota, where I pursued her bachelors in sociology and family social science at the University of Minnesota. My independence and sense of adventure pushed me west to California in 2008, where I pursued my masters degree in counseling psychology from JFK University. When i\'m not working, I enjoys spending time with my husband and two daughters on weekend adventures.
