Responsible for team budgeting, performance/compensation reviews, and leading all commercial decisions and enforcement of energy-related contracts and environmental stewardship opportunities• Evaluation and commercial negotiations leader of numerous potential land and energy related transactions, including surface and subsurface contracts related to projects focused on oil, gas, uranium, lithium and other minerals; energy transmission (pipelines, powerlines, and rights-of-way); energy storage (natural gas, geopressured, and battery); soil and subsurface carbon sequestration and voluntary carbon credit markets (direct air capture, point source, etc.); solar; geothermal; hydrogen; ammonia; biofuels; groundwater use, desalination and disposal; bitcoin mining; data centers; and rights of entry, third party road usage, damage settlements and liability releases • Lead negotiator of, at the time, the largest Direct Air Capture Deployment in the world whereby King Ranch, Inc. entered into its first carbon capture and sequestration lease with Oxy Low Carbon Ventures covering acres in Kleberg County, Texas, with the potential to permanently sequester approximately 3 billion metric tons of CO2 into underground geologic reservoirs. Successful development is expected to anchor King Ranch’s long-term financial security and further cement its legacy as environmental stewards of land• In collaboration with environmental counsel and consultants, responsible for commercial decisions and regulatory strategies related to and supervision of third-party environmental mitigation matters, cleanup efforts and site closures
