I didn’t just end up in cyber security leadership by chance - I’ve grown into it from the ground up. 8 years ago, I joined the industry and 7 years ago I joined, Origo as an Information Security Graduate Apprentice, eager to learn, curious about everything, and probably asking way too many questions. Fast forward to today, I’m leading a small but mighty team of analysts, each with their own strengths, experiences, and career goals.My job is more than just managing workloads and reviewing reports - it’s about mentoring, building confidence, and helping my team see what they’re capable of. I get to watch graduate apprentices grow into confident analysts, and analysts become leaders in their own right. That’s the best part of my role.Along the way, I’ve picked up a Bachelor of Engineering in Cyber Security from Edinburgh Napier University, my CISM certification from ISACA, and a knack for navigating the ever-changing world of risk assessments, incident response, and project security consulting.Cyber security is fast-paced, unpredictable, and always evolving - and that’s exactly why I love it. Every day is a chance to protect what matters, learn something new, and help others do the same.
