Respond to crisis calls in partnership with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to homes with reported domestic disputes. Provide on scene victim advocacy including safety planning, validate feelings and experiences, deescalate trauma response, provide additional support and resources as needed to bilingual audiences. Complete intake reports. Serve as Camp Hope Counselor to inspire young children experiencing trauma at home; deliver daily Hope curriculum and facilitate activities with children ages 5-12 years old; create fun environment through song, dance, and recreational activities; foster healthy relationships with young children; closely follow camp protocol. Continuous training in domestic violence, trauma, teen dating violence, safety planning, crisis intervention, empowerment, victim advocacy, stalking, child abuse, court advocacy, LGBTQ intersectionality, and other topics related to victim services and resources.
