ABOUT TAYLER WESTFALL
As an NYU Stern student double concentrating in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Public Policy and Management at NYU Wagner, I’m most energized by projects where brand strategy connects directly to business fundamentals like pricing power, customer acquisition, and long-term value creation.Last semester, I took a consultant-style approach to a sustainability strategy project for a major airline that I chose, then backed my recommendations with a 10-year financial analysis. Building the model and doing the research showed me how sustainability decisions can be both socially meaningful and financially rational. Seeing how incentives, demand structures, and risk reduction translate into ROI is what made me especially interested in using financial modeling to evaluate sustainability as a core business strategy, not an add-on.In Consumer Behavior, I worked with an emerging customer packaged goods brand that was struggling to break through in the oversaturated “protein bar” category. I recommended a B2B-first go-to-market, selling into corporate offices through administrative and procurement channels to drive lower-cost trial, build awareness, and establish credibility before competing for attention in retail. To make the recommendation tangible, I reached out to corporations directly, learned how their procurement works, and connected interested contacts back to the founders.Going forward, I’m excited to keep building at the intersection of strategy and execution, pursuing growth that is ambitious but grounded in real unit economics, incentives, and what customers will actually do.
