ABOUT TAVSEEF MAIRAJ SHAH
Tavseef is the Co-Founder and COO of the Berlin-based startup CinSOIL. He is a Kashmiri-Hamburger environmental process engineer with over ten years of experience in the agri-environmental and agroecological policy and applied research. Tavseef did his doctoral research on regenerative rice cropping systems exploring the role of intercropping legumes with rice. In his postdoctoral research, Tavseef\'s focus areas included soil health education, environmental decision support systems, and the role of AI in agricultural systems. Furthermore, he co-authored a background paper for the FAO\'s flagship State of Food and Agriculture (SOFA) 2023 report in on the role of True Cost Accounting (TCA) in the the transformation of the agrifood sector. Tavseef\'s motivation of founding CinSOIL has roots in his experience with regenerative and agroecological systems and the European policy landscape, which also informs his activities as the COO of the young AgriTech and ClimateTech startup. In addition to his current start-up activities, Tavseef offers consultancy services in the areas of agrifood policy and agroecological strategizing.
