ABOUT TAVIS RUDD
I have two decades experience leading large, complicated software projects. • I write high quality software. The first library I wrote after teaching myself to code was adopted by Dropbox, Yelp, Cisco, Reddit, Redhat, the US federal government and many others. • I have led technology in small startups and larger scale-ups, managed both development and operations teams, and operated a consulting business. • I have designed, built and operated core software systems for four startups in the dental and optical industries - consulting in a CTO capacity. • I am fluent in a wide range of programming languages and paradigms: Python, JavaScript, Typescript, R, Clojure, Haskell, Lisp, SQL, Bash and several more. • I co-founded and ran several of the largest, most active software and data science meetups in Vancouver and have co-organized 11 conferences. • I am an experienced public speaker and technical trainer.
